On November 2, 2025, the Office of the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod (OSSP) led the Car-Free, Carefree Tomas Morato event in line with Ordinance No. SP-3345, S-2024, which designates every first Sunday of the month, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, as a car-free zone along Tomas Morato Avenueβspecifically from Scout Rallos to Don A. Roces Avenue.
It aims to promote active mobility and provide a safe, open space for activities such as zumba, jogging, running, and walking with family and pets. It also fosters community bonding and supports local businesses within the Tomas Morato area.
Under the leadership of Atty. John Thomas S. Alferos III, Department Head of OSSP, and through the efforts of the Legislative Division headed by Atty. Wilmamae Reboja, the event was successfully organized featuring fun and engaging activities such as zumba sessions, a photobooth, and a Monster meet-and-greet, where OSSP employees joined in wearing creative costumes.
This initiative reflects the continuous commitment to promote a healthier lifestyle, community engagement, and vibrant public spaces for Quezon City residents to bond with their families, friends, and pets.
